Day 86 – Frogs in Piunza ( & The Quebrada)

The group reorganizing in Piunza

Raquelita - Did she sleep in those socks?
We met at the KH at 8:30. Making car groups and assigning partners is tricky – 4 cars and 23 people. What would you do? Mind you, these are not Chevy Suburbans. They are, liberally, 5 passenger vehicles. Tatiana had asked to work with us on our last day out in service. So, Raquelita, Tatiana and I (Erik) worked together the whole morning. We had very nice calls and hopefully, when the friends follow up, they can get somewhere with them. We even visited a frog farm. They had tons of them from tiny tadpoles to super huge ones.

The little round pieces are the food, the long pieces by the wall
are worms they put there so it looks like the food is moving.
They won't eat the food if it's not moving.
Silvia & Luis Feijoo
After service it was our privilege to feed the Feijoos (CO & wife). Since we have had no water for 3 days, were preaching far away and had no food in the house, we decided to take everyone to the Hosteria Arenal for lunch. Faithful blog followers will remember it is a really nice resort/Ecolodge near our house. We had shrimp ceviche and our four legged friends from the morning. I hate to say it…tastes like…you guessed it…pollo! Leah stayed back at the Vivanco’s to wash clothes (they had water and the sun was out…well…at least when she started). The question is…will they be dry by the time we have to leave for Guyaquil Sunday?

Shawn & I went to Zamora for the special talk. I only had to give it once because of the visit of the CO he was going to give it in Cumbaratza Sunday morning. Leah stayed back to do some packing-she was getting a bit stressed as now she had a mound of damp laundry. We left after the talk so I could help her, but first, we had to have one more ping pong tournament. Shawn, Ryan & I cracked some Club Verde’s and got busy. I think Ryan was still hurtin’ from his lack luster performance the night before cuz he started out with a vengeance. It was really a great time – we will miss all of them!

    1. I am surprised bullfrog isn't a Chinese Lays potatoe chip flavor. Bullfrog with Ginger and Hot pepper flavored Lays
