Day 91 – Teotihuacan

B'fast
We were going to visit the pyramids today so Elsa said we should eat an extra heavy breakfast. I thought that’s what we were eating every day. So, in addition to our fruit and yogurt we had nopales (cactus), cordero (lamb) and chancho (pig) with tortillas and salsa.

The pyramids were about an hour or so away from the house. It was really interesting, lots of walking and climbing. The day was sunny and dry. It is interesting to think that at one time it was the center of pagan worship for so many people and now it is desolate. It made me think of how interesting it is that a whole system of worship that seems to have stability can disappear completely. On the other hand there have always been worshipers of Jehovah in the earth, and now more than ever. His temple is bustling with activity and we have the privilege to serve there.
